iTop VPN is a candidate for someone who wants to compare a limited free connection with a paid package of VPN and privacy tools. The important decision is which features exist in the app and plan you will actually use. A long list of utilities does not establish that every device receives the same controls or that paying guarantees access to every game or streaming service.

VPNBlade Editorial reviewed current official material on 1 November 2026. This is a source-based review, not a speed, leak or streaming test. We did not install an app, register an account, activate VIP, change permissions, purchase a dedicated address or request a refund. The archived 2022 article’s claimed hands-on tests, rating, prices, coupon code, leak allegations and universal access promises are excluded.

Establish the free allowance before planning regular use

The Windows and Android manuals describe a free account with 300MB of data per day and limited server access. The Windows product page also uses unlimited-bandwidth language in its free-service description. We cannot reconcile those statements into a uniform unlimited free-data entitlement. Check the allowance displayed in the current app and account before planning a large transfer or a long session.

A free download, a free account and a trial are different arrangements. The Android manual describes a separate three-day trial account; that does not establish current eligibility, payment conditions or renewal behaviour for every store offer. Read the screen presented for your own purchase channel. Our free-VPN guide helps compare limits without assuming that a free tier is either unrestricted or inherently unsafe.

The free version can be a way to examine the interface and documented installation route. It does not supply a performance conclusion for this review. Likewise, a small allowance says nothing by itself about encryption quality. Decide whether the available locations and controls suit the task before considering the paid package.

Match the device allowance to the exact offer

The current official store and Windows product page advertise eight simultaneous devices. VPNBlade’s inherited iTop offer has a five-device label. We cannot establish that an older or channel-specific five-device purchase is automatically upgraded to the direct site’s current allowance. Confirm the exact entitlement with the merchant and keep the order description rather than treating the larger number as universal.

The iTop VPN provider record and inherited deal below preserve the site’s commercial information. Compare the full prepaid bill, subscription period and renewal arrangements. The current store says its paid subscription renews automatically unless cancelled. A monthly equivalent for a longer term should not be mistaken for a monthly charge; our billing explanation provides the context.

Separate the Windows tools from the VPN connection

The Windows manual lists a kill switch, split tunneling, DNS and IPv6 protection within its Advanced VPN area. It also lists browser-privacy and other utilities, with VIP icons identifying some paid functions. Its Dedicated IP section describes a separately purchased service even for VIP customers. Those are useful distinctions when comparing a base subscription with an optional add-on.

A connection category such as gaming or streaming is not the same product as an exclusive paid address. Nor is a browser-cleaning utility the same protection as a network tunnel. Clearing local history does not establish that websites, accounts or remote systems erase their own records. Check the purpose of the control you need rather than purchasing on the strength of the total number of buttons.

Different controls answer different questions
Control or route Documented role Question for your setup
Windows Advanced VPN Connection-related controls alongside other privacy utilities Which options and VIP requirements exist in this build?
Android split tunneling Selecting apps to use the VPN while others connect directly Which apps belong inside the selected list?
Dedicated IP add-on A separately purchased exclusive address Is this included in the order or an additional service?
Browser-privacy utility Local browser-data cleanup What data is removed locally, and what remains elsewhere?

Check Android routing and Apple features separately

The Android manual describes selecting apps that are allowed to use the VPN, while other apps use their direct connection. That is an inclusion model: leaving a task outside the selected set changes its route. Its protocol menu uses Auto, TCP and UDP labels. Those labels alone do not establish a complete underlying-protocol or independent-security assessment.

The Windows product page additionally lists HTTPS in its protocol description. Do not reuse the archived claim that a specific set of standard protocols is absent as a current universal fact. Equally, a familiar transport label should not be presented as proof that a particular implementation has been audited. Our split-tunneling guide explains how to reason about the selected traffic without assuming feature parity.

iTop publishes separate Mac and iOS product routes. The iOS page advertises Always On for connection continuity, but this review has not exercised sleep, locking or network changes. Do not transfer the Windows utility list to an iPhone or assume that a manual’s operating-system list replaces the current installer’s requirements. List the actual devices and required controls before buying a household plan.

Read the privacy statement as a provider claim

The public privacy policy is labelled 14 June 2022 and applies across iTop’s websites, software and accompanying services. It states that activity such as original IP addresses, browsing history, destinations and DNS queries is not logged while using the services. It separately describes registration information, support details, device and crash information, cookies and analytics tools.

Those categories should not be collapsed into a claim that no data exists. The policy also covers products beyond the VPN, so its statements about stored account data and encryption need to be read in that broader context. This review does not independently verify infrastructure, RAM-only-server marketing, app data flows or an audit. An address change does not erase account identity, website tracking or information you choose to submit.

Pros and limitations for a prospective buyer

Reasons to shortlist iTop VPN

  • A free account provides a separate option from a paid subscription, subject to checking its actual limit.
  • Windows documentation distinguishes connection controls, privacy utilities and a paid address add-on.
  • Android’s app-selection description makes its routing purpose clear.
  • Separate platform pages and a published refund policy allow specific pre-purchase questions.

Reasons to compare another service

  • Free-data descriptions conflict across the manual and marketing page.
  • A direct-site device allowance should not be assumed for every inherited or third-party offer.
  • The feature list does not establish identical controls on all platforms.
  • This assessment contains no measured speed, leak, gaming or streaming results.

Separate stopping renewal from receiving money back

The public refund policy, labelled 22 February 2022, describes a 30-day full-refund window for subscription plans and 60 days for one-time-charge plans, while noting that periods differ by product and plan. Apple in-app purchases are excluded from iTop’s stated guarantee and follow Apple’s discretionary process. Read the conditions attached to the exact order rather than turning those headings into one universal promise.

The policy also describes partial refunds based on unused subscription months and a support process for technical problems. These are documented conditions, not a refund performed or eligibility confirmed by VPNBlade. Cancelling future renewal normally leaves access through the paid period and is distinct from asking for repayment. Keep the receipt, merchant name and cancellation confirmation so the two requests do not get confused.

A buying worksheet for the device and order you have
Question Record before paying Decision consequence
What is the free limit? Displayed allowance, available servers and reset period Avoid assuming unlimited use from a headline
How many simultaneous devices? Merchant, exact offer and confirmed entitlement Keep five-device and eight-device descriptions tied to their source
Which control is essential? Platform, app build, routing and interruption options Do not buy a utility list in place of a required function
What are the billing conditions? Renewal, refund period, add-ons and store exclusions Separate the base plan, optional purchases and cancellation

Compare the inherited offers after the device and billing questions are answered. Choose iTop VPN for a documented fit with the required app and subscription, rather than an archived coupon or promise of complete protection. If an essential condition remains unclear, compare another provider before making a longer commitment.
