The first charge is paid today. A renewal is charged at the start of each new term that begins before the comparison period ends. A renewal due exactly at the end is outside that period. We count the full charge even if part of its coverage extends beyond the horizon; this is cash paid, not prorated usage.
The result assumes the entered renewal price stays constant. Future price changes, add-ons and exchange fees are excluded. A long prepaid plan can have months left over at the end. Canceling renewal does not itself refund earlier payments. Keep a copy of the actual checkout terms.
